A RETREAT EXPERIENCE with Sophia Piehl, Jessika Bungum, Lau Pinna and Fredrik Edlund

In 2019, we created SPROUT – YOGA, CACAO & SOUND.  As a group of friends of yoga teachers, healers and professional chef, we wanted to create something that we would enjoy ourselves. A place where we would hold the space but still be very much part of the group.  In July 2019, in beautiful fairyland Österlen we had our first retreat.

THE SPROUT CONCEPT

Hurray! Once again you’re on the way, yet at the same time right in the middle of it. Remember when Alice asked the Cheshire cat which way she ought to go? Does it really matter if you don’t care where you are going?

Speaking linguistically for a moment (if you don’t mind going in this direction), the term cheshirization is the unique phenomena of a sound change. One where the trace of a sound remains even though the sound has disappeared from the word - like that cat who disappears leaving only his grin! Kudos to the logic of not caring about where to go, but how exciting is that? Maybe diving deeper into where you are right now IS how we learn which way to go? 

So let’s dive in. Into what you ask? Well, that’s another question of direction, one which we think we might have the answer for. For us, the important technologies that have helped change the courses of our lives, yet at the same time kept us present in them, are yoga, sound practices and good food.

Therefore, in honor of going somewhere from being exactly where we are, we have composed a 5 day intensive gathering of yoga, sound and cacao experiences. It’s a starting point. A place for you to find yourself in the middle of what is directing you toward your future. 

In these 5 days we will create a space for you to unfold, like a seed getting ready to sprout. It’s a space where you get to set your own course based on your own unique positioning.
